Adolphe Weisz (Budapest, 17 July 1838 - Paris, 25 December 1916) was a Hungarian/French painter. His father is a theater actor in Vienna. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He moved to France in 1865, obtaining French nationality.
He is a student of Charles François Jalabert. Adolphe Weisz is a genre painter and portraitist. His debut at the Salon dates back to 1864, where he exhibited the Portrait of Marmontel, professor at the music conservatory. For ten years he produced works, but did not exhibit them.
Member of the French Artists since 1884, he obtained a third class medal in 1875 and a second class in 1885. He obtained a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900 in Paris. Adolphe Weisz died in 1916, in his Parisian house on Avenue Frochot.
