Matt ABRAXAS ✿

Matt Abraxas is a fine artist, filmmaker and creative experimenter.
Matt Abraxas studied from the world-renown Ted Seth Jacobs in the Anjou region of France, and then from Jeffrey Watts at the Watts Atelier in California. These two approaches of education continue to influence Matt’s painting and his appreciation for an academic study of art. Matt Abraxas has work in private collections in the U.S., Europe and the middle East.

 “ I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. My mom says that I even drew on the wall from the crib, but I’m sure it wasn’t any good.I’ve been a filmmaker ever since my parents invested in a VHS camera for family archiving and I promptly took over the large device for creating my first movies. They were a cross between Monty Python and bad Kung Fu flics, the kind that would show on Saturday afternoons back when TV’s had dials.
Being an artist of any medium usually goes hand-in-hand with being a frequent ponderer. It’s this reverie of deep questions and contrarian considerations that often leads one to pursuing art.
