Virgilio Tojetti (1851-1901) was an Italian painter and muralist, son of the painter Domenico Tojetti, born in Rome, Italy. Tojetti was a pupil of his father and later studied in Paris with Gérôme and Bouguereau.
He was a San Francisco resident from 1871 until about 1883 when he moved to New York City. He became popular in the East as a painter of genre scenes and frescoes. Tojetti died of Bright's disease in New York on March 26, 1901.
