Daniel Hernández Morillo, (1856, Salcabamba – 1932, Lima) was a Peruvian painter in the Academic style who spent most of his working life in Paris. He also served as the first Director of the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes.

Around the age of 4, Morillo showed exceptional skills for art. When he turned 14, Morillo was under the teachings of Leonardo Barbieri, so he could learn the first notations of art, but Leonardo Barbieri explained that Morillo was born to be a master.
