Nicole Michelle TULLY (American, b. 1972) is founding faculty of Studio Escalier, a private art school and art colony in France. She tutors students from all over the world in contemporary classical drawing and figure painting.
In 2012, her work was selected by ACOPAL to be included in the first major exhibition of contemporary American realist painting in China. The ACOPAL exhibition debuted at the National Arts Club in New York City in 2012, and traveled to several major museums in China in 2013. Nicole Michelle TULLY received her MFA degree in Painting from the Graduate School of Figurative Art – New York Academy of Art. She holds a BA degree magna cum laude in Art History from New York University. She went to art school in New York City at the Art Students League and National Academy of Design, and in France at the Ecole Albert Defois under Ted Seth Jacobs (1996-2001).
Ms Tully was one of eight original members of the Jacob Collins Studio (1994-97) and was one of eleven founding members of the Water Street Atelier (1997-99), both in Brooklyn, NY.
Nicole Michelle Tully lives in Montmartre with her husband Timothy Stotz and their daughter, in the same loft apartment where Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Suzanne Valadon first met, first worked together as artists, and fell in love.
