Claire Sayers is a contemporary artist living and working in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia.
Claire believes art should evoke emotion, and attempts to convey uplifting and positive inspiration through her work. She working with mixed media, oil, acrylic and watercolour on canvas.
She completed a Diploma in Teaching but realised her true passion was colour and design. This progressed to studying Studio Textiles, Colour Theory, and a Diploma in Visual Arts.
Claire’s art has developed over the years with experimentation in a variety of mediums. A journey that has evolved to a technique of multi-layered, impressionistic landscapes on large to very large canvasses. This enables her to capture and translate the beauty of colour, the way nature intended, painting natural images in their most shimmering and vibrant form.
