Louis-Charles Verwèe was a Belgian painter of genre scenes, animals and portraits. His genre scenes show romantic intrigues and young society ladies. He was a student of his father Louis-Pierre Verwee and also the brother of the painter Alfred Verwee.
Louis-Charles painted in a similar style as his teachers Alfred Stevens, Florent Willems and Gustave De Jonghe. He participated at the Salon of Brussels in 1854, the Salon of Antwerp in 1861, the Salon of Ghent in 1871 and the Salon of Amsterdam in 1877.
