la nuda notte
senza ritorno
l'alba intanto nasceva
straordinaria
dai toni rapiti al tramonto
dai fianchi alati in ascesa
sui sospesi respiri
afoni battiti
pozzo asciutto
di fiati e palpiti
ha posato l'abbandono
in affresco trono di pietà...

Kim Nelson (1958-215) was an Australian Symbolist painter. He lived and worked in the foothills of the Brindabella mountain range, near the Australian National Capital, Canberra. Themes such as the recurring ‘Red Shawl’ and other spiritually suggestive motifs put his artwork firmly in the field of Symbolism though his style does range from classical to the abstract.
