AL SARALIS ~ Ballet ✿

Al Saralis figurative painter, graduated from Newport in 1978 with a B.A. Honours Degree in Fine Art. This was followed by a post-graduate year at Cardiff where Al achieved a distinction in gaining his qualifications to teach Art. Since then he has been a full-time professional artist and teacher of Art.

Al currently shows at a number of galleries throughout the country and has sold to collectors in the UK, Germany, France, USA and Australia. Since his early life drawing sessions at art college, the human figure has been Al's main source of inspiration. His fascination with form, structure, and movement of figures is a constant throughout his paintings and continues to be central to Al's work today. His paintings are usually composed of just a single figure which is stripped of any narrative reference.

'I use a restricted number of models to try and achieve my aim, which is to create something that is beautiful as well as interesting, contemporary as well as classical; something timeless which is stripped of any narrative.'Al’s work can be seen at a number of galleries and Fairs throughout the UK and abroad. Work may also be purchased directly from Al’s studio. Life –Drawing classes take place throughout the year and include courses for beginners.
