Born and raised in Ohio, Michelle Doll made her way to the metropolitan area in 2006 to attend the New York Academy of Art. She eventually found a home in the Mile Square City and bought a studio in the old industrial building in 2006. "I don't have to worry about being neat and I can get messy with the paint," she said.
